and is magnificent for walking. Our climate is very Cornish; mild with a
brilliantly
blue
sky. When it rains it can be heavy,
then the sky clears, the earth steams and the lush Cornish vegetation
flourishes. Inland, the moorland of
The Lizard is the site of the worlds largest satellite earth station at
Goonhilly. It is interspersed with
deep, sheltered valleys leading to the sea.
The
Cuddy
In 1874 John Thomas purchased an area of land
in Porthleven and around 1880 the granite,
fishermens cottages of Thomas Terrace were
built. The Cuddy has subsequently been extended to the rear where there is a
narrow, pedestrian lane between Thomas Terrace and

John Horobin, who live in
Our property manager, Tania
Burton, lives close by. She
maintains the cottage for us and is available if guests have any queries. Our changeover day is a
Friday.
